Sea breams, potatoes and tomatoes tray - Venetian homecooking recipe
My father-in-law is fishing more and more these days, with great success! Having plenty of hyper-fresh lagoon fish, I can't resist preparing it in different recipes. This is easy and delicious.
For 4 persons
- 12 small/medium sized sea breams
- 8 potatoes
- 4 tomatoes
- 1 clove garlic
- olive oil
- persil
- salt
Wash and eviscerate the fishes, remove scales. Pre-heat the oven at 175°C. Peel and slice the potatoes (about 0,5cm thick), slice the tomatoes (about same thickness), chop the garlic. Cover a baking tray with baking paper and start laying the ingredients: 1 row potato slices, 1 row tomato slices and garlic, 2 sea breams etc. Salt and season with olive oil each row. When the tray is full, cover it with aluminium foil and bake for about 30 minutes, then remove the aluminium and cook for another 10 minutes. Chop a bunch of persil, put it in a cup and cover it with olive oil, add salt and use this sauce to season the fish. Enjoy!
