Pentecoste in Venice means... Vogalonga!
Sunday, the 19th of May 2024 will be the Pentecoste feast, which in Venice is historically associated to one of the main events in town: the Vogalonga!
What is the Vogalonga? A 30-kilometer route between the lagoon, its small islands, and the magnificent Grand Canal: a non-competitive regatta, open to rowers from every corner of the world, with no restrictions regarding weight, size, or number of rowers: it's a celebration of the beauty and tradition of Venice, a tribute to past navigation techniques, an event created to promote the use of sustainable boats and to protect the city of Venice from wave motion.
Do you wish to enroll for next year? Check the official Vogalonga website https://vogalonga.com/en/!
Please note that during the race there will be changes to the ordinary water-bus services, please check the Actv official website for all updates: https://actv.avmspa.it/it.
